Sunday June 10th will see the première of a newly-commissioned anthem by Jonathan Pitkin for the choir of St Giles' Cathedral, Edinburgh. 'As Kingfishers Catch Fire', which is scored for mixed voices and organ, is a setting of the poem of the same name by Gerard Manley Hopkins. The choir, under the direction of Michael Harris, will perform the new piece at the 11.30 service at the Cathedral.
