A new paper for the ‘Music and Numbers’ conference, Canterbury

Jonathan Pitkin gave a paper entitled ‘Raising expectations: patterns, predictability and putting off the inevitable in recent compositions’ at the 2010 ‘Music and Numbers’ conference at Canterbury Christ Church University, presented in association with the Institute for Musical Research and the Society for Music Analysis. The paper discussed ideas arising from some of Jonathan’s recent works, including the orchestral piece Mesh.
