BBC Singers to give first UK performances of new choral work
*

Has it flown away?, an unaccompanied choral work commissioned by the St Louis Chamber Chorus and given its first performance by them last November, will be heard for the first time in the UK next month. As part of this year's John Armitage Memorial (JAM) concerts, the piece will be performed by the BBC Singers under the direction on Nicholas Cleobury at Chichester Cathedral on March 16th and then at St Bride's, Fleet Street, London on March 17th. Later in the year, the chapel choir of Selwyn College, Cambridge, under the direction of Stephen Layton, will give further performances at JAM concerts in Hexham Abbey (July 14th) and at St Cuthbert's Church, Edinburgh (July 15th).
